It is the successor to their old but well selling U980 and the U981. The new device sports an amazing transmission speed of 2.8 mbps. The device will run Windows Mobile 6.0, and will feature both EDGE/HSDPA, GPS, and probably the rest of the standard array of hardware available for such devices. The newly leaked HTC Touch HD seems to have exemplary specifications. A flash video of the new yet unannounced Palm Treo Pro, also known as the Palm Treo 850w, showed up on the site and someone was lucky enough to grab a quick screenshot of the device and some of it's features before it got pulled. This should be the first Treo to support GSM and UMTS. The phone also unofficially features a QWERTY style keyboard, Windows Mobile Professional 6.1, bluetooth, WiFi, and what seems to be a 320x320 touch screen. You no longer need to be an e-Club member to be able to download the updated ROMs as long as your HTC device is not carrier locked (meaning you have an unlocked device or one that was not bought from a specific carrier). It would be safe to assume that the e-Club is going to turn into a premium goodies place for HTC customers to download ringtones, themes, and other random jargon.
